Pauliana Pimentel was born in Lisbon in 1975, the city where she still lives and works. She studied Photojournalism and worked

as an assistant for various photographers. As a freelance photographer she has been producing photo-reportages since 2000 for
various Portuguese and foreign magazines, travelling in many different countries. In 2005 she took part in the photography course
of the Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Creation Program. She belongs to the 'Kameraphoto' collective and the 'Doze' group of artistic
photographers. She is represented at the Galeria 3+1 Arte Contemporânea (Lisbon).
“Vol I” is her debut book.
