André Cepeda usually moves around with a 4x5 view camera - a box - and a tripod. Yet his pictures feel as if taken by a stray dog, scanning the city surfaces with his wet snout.
Following his earlier projectsDepois,Rien and Ontem, "Ballad of Today" renews Cepeda's intensity and clarifies his language. The result is a haunting ballad of a city – Lisbon. A ballad of the city system, of society today, of our individual and collective existence.
