BALLAD OF TODAY by André Cepeda Special Edition
André Cepeda usually moves around with a 4x5 view camera - a box - and a tripod. Yet his pictures feel as if taken by a stray dog, scanning the city surfaces with his wet snout.
Following his earlier projects Depois, Rien and Ontem, "Ballad of Today" renews Cepeda's intensity and clarifies his language. The result is a haunting ballad of a city – Lisbon. A ballad of the city system, of society today, of our individual and collective existence.
